About Camp Perry

Camp Perry is a 640 acre Ohio National Guard Training Site located on the southern shores of Lake Erie. Ranges and Training facilities include three automated firing ranges, ballistic shoot-house and multiple field training areas. There are facilities to support battalion size elements to inlcude computer generated training and weapons exercises. Camp Perry serves local and federal law enforcement, Homeland Security and Department of Defense agencies.

The National Rife and Pistol Matches are conducted annually in July and August at Camp Perry. This is a premier marksmanship event for shooters from around the world.

The following features can also be found at Camp Perry:

HOW TO GET TO CAMP PERRY

Located ON St Rte OH-2. Look for our 2 stone towers at our Main Entrance into Camp Perry.


FROM: Chicago, Illinois

Take I-90 E (becomes I-80/90 Turnpike) (260 miles); take Exit 91 onto OH-53 N toward Port Clinton (11 miles); turn LEFT onto OH-2 W toward Toledo; (4 miles) Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 4 hours 45 minutes, 275 miles

FROM: Cincinnati / Dayton, Ohio

Take I-75 N (170 miles, Cincinnati; 120 miles Dayton); to Exit 179 RIGHT onto US-6 E toward Fremont (25miles) turn LEFT onto OH-53 N follow signs 53 N (20 miles); turn LEFT onto OH-2 W toward Toledo (4 miles); Turn RIGHT into Camp Perry. EST: 4 hours, 219 miles (Cincinnati); EST: 3 hours, 169 miles (Dayton)


FROM: Cleveland, Ohio

Take I-90 W (28 Miles) (becomes I-80/90 Turnpike); take I-80/90 W Turnpike (25 Miles); to Exit 118 onto US –250 N toward Sandusky (6 miles); turn onto OH-2 W (25 miles); Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 1 hour 30 minutes, 84 miles

FROM: Columbus, Ohio

Take US-23 N (51 miles); to OH-4 N (56 miles); turn onto OH-2 W (22 miles); Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 2 hours 30 minutes, 129 miles


FROM: Detroit, Michigan

Take I-75 S toward TOLEDO (66 miles); exit onto I-80/90 E Turnpike (27 miles); to Exit 91 onto OH-53 N toward Port Clinton (11 miles); turn LEFT onto OH-2 W (4 miles); Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 2 hours, 108 miles


FROM: Indianapolis, Indiana

Take I-70 E (109 miles); to I-75 N (120 miles); to Exit 179 RIGHT onto US-6 E toward Fremont (25 miles); turn LEFT onto OH-53 N, follow signs 53N (20 miles); turn LEFT onto OH-2 W (4 miles); Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 5 hours, 278 miles


FROM: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Take I-279 N (12 miles); to Exit 20 onto I-79 N (6 miles); to Exit 77 onto I-76 W toward Youngstown, Ohio (portions toll) (52 miles); I-76 W becomes I-80 W Turnpike (later becomes I-80/90 W) (100 miles); to Exit 118 onto US-250 N toward Sandusky (6 miles); turn onto OH-2 W (25 miles); Turn RIGHT off of OH-2 into Camp Perry. EST: 4 hours, 201 miles
